Hello eveyone! The "ber" months have started rolling, and sooner or later, there will be more Christmas posts about here again.

To start off, I got these four postcards this Wednesday.

The first one is sent from China. How cute of this anime couple :)

This one is an official postcard :) It was in my favorites wall. This shot was taken in the year 2005, and you can see the tram in Wroclaw, Poland.

The Philippines, I believed have trams before.

This one is sent from a twitter pal who is from Thailand. She sent me this Myanmar postcard, 

which I think is very cool!

And this one too is very nice :) It looks like a homemade card, scanned. 

Then professionally printed.

I just love how it looks so 3d, yet it's two dimensional.

Anime Cards :) Clannad, Shugo Chara, and two more

Hello everyone! Time to show you some anime cards that I have been receiving lately :) Watching Japanese animation was part of my childhood until elementary. Sadly, I have to stay it put behind when I entered high school and college, because of my focus in studies. But still, I am an anime baby :)

Take a look at this card:

This is a somehow vintage-y designed card of Arale, from Dragonball. It's an official card sent by karto4ka from Russia :) There are two nice stamps in the back. She has a Russian site which you can probably visit (there are pictures)

This next postcard is from a swap with a girl from Ukraine! Thank you Nastya (NastyaHolmes) for this one. Will be replying to you soon!

Now, I really don't know what anime is she from. I asked my sister if she recognizes this one, and she mentioned that she has a lot of lookalikes. In the card, it just says "Beautiful girl anime".

Moving on, this week, last August 27, I have received this card from China, sent as an official:

It's a SHUGO CHARA card :D :D 

It was sent by Evangeline, a student from China who would like to collect postcards, stamps, coins, and finding a penpal :3 

YEE! *squeals*

But what's amazing is that, the day after, 

I received another anime card... which I think is from the same publisher!!

This time, it's a CLANNAD card :) Hellooo Nagisa!

It was sent from Indonesia as an official card. Thank you Amelia (chopamelia) for this card!

The reason why I think it is very coincidence-y is because... both cards have the same size,

and almost the same design for the back.

Grand Canal in China, and Texan Flowers :)

Herbalization sent this UNESCO Card depicting a part of the Grand Canal in China. According to him, this shows a section in Taierzhuang.

There were also matching stamps as well! Oh thank you so much! Wasn't expecting to receive a surprise card from you :)

Oh how just I missed blogging! I missed scanning postcards, and taking pictures of everything sent. Hello everyone! Thank you so much for being loyal in this blog.

Today, I'm going to feature three postcards that I just received today. The mailman arrived while I was sleeping.

So the first postcard is sent by a very nice backpacker from Indonesia. I found her name on Twitter. Thank you so much @sheilakartika! It was very nice of you. And it is very nice of you that you even sent a postcard to me, despite of the horrible pickpocket situation O.O!

I hope I can also go to Indonesia sometime :)

This postcard is sent by sky_wang from his trip to Tibet, China. Thank you so much for this lovely card! I know a person who went into Tibet, and did an amazing thing there.

This postcard was given by a nice lady from Australia. I think this was sent from Norfolk Island Maxicard, but the postcard is from Australia. Thank you to Sharon (scubaduba) for this UNESCO Card ;)

This card features the Old Military Barracks at Kingston, Norfolk Island. 

Kingston is a part of the World Heritage Site. 

She even has this Kangaroo postmark.

Be greeted by this green pig from Angry Birds! This card is an official card, sent by a lady from Finland. She has put the Christmas Finnish stamp in it too :D

This card was sent by a Korean, who also studied in the Philippines two years ago.

This is the Christmas card sent by our mother in Australia. It also has a Christmas stamp on the envelope.

This was sent by Ms. Annika from Sweden, for the Ugly Cards lottery.

There are no reindeer for this Santa Claus - he's arriving by boat. Local resident Ed McGinn, who owned the first service station in Cape Coral, was the first boat-going Santa, and none of the kids guessed who he was.

This lovely Christmas card was sent by Ms. Mandi from Las Vegas. She even included bookmarks in the card :D  Thank you!

This one is from Tita Anette Sunga (jts). She has sent a lovely cover of stamps. Inside are mint stamps for the travelling envelope. I really loved the USA ones.

As for this envelope, this one is filled with nontouristic postcards. wishfulkelly was so nice to send 7!

Mail for the Month of October

Good Morning!

Okay, so October is my Birthday month... and for this post, I'll be showing you guys the different postcards I have received.

This is the last year that I will be celebrating my birthday in my university.

My first letter for the month of October was a penpal letter, from The Netherlands. I got it on October 2, a day after my birthday.

October 9 was World Post Day. I wasn't able to join PHLPOST's first celebration of it in the SM Malls, nor did received any mail that day...

But I got 2 (or 3) postcards the following day, having the OCTOBER 9 postmark.

The first is this card:

This was sent by Miku for the "Japan - Rest of the world" tag. She sent this card because she saw that I like owls in my profile. So she got this card for me. As her message said, this is a Japanese style art work. She saw the author's artworks at a museum, and have mentioned that it has moved her. This artwork is one of her favorites. 

The first stamp features a red rose. There's also a QR code there. 

The stamp below is an old stamp. It was printed in the year 1972. And yet, another flower stamp.

SOUTH DAKOTA'S BOUNTY is displayed in the beauty and abundance of its natural resources, as well as in the indomitable spirit of its people. Black Hills, South Dakota

 This South Dakota card was sent by Tito Ron (CaptainSoul) as his gratis offer. I haven't received a South Dakota card yet, and this one is a great part of my collection :3 

These stamps are soo cool! They are lighthouse stamps. The one on the right is the New London Harbor in Connecticut, and the one in the middle is Point Judith at Rhode Island. 

To be honest, I am not really a fan of lighthouses, but somehow, I get to appreciate them when I saw their variety in these stamps. :3

Then for the last card for October 10, I got this Bretagne card sent by my postcard pal from France.

On this card, it says "The magic of Broceliande Forest".

Honestly, it seems like one of those you see in the movies. As for my perception, the watery part seems edited for me. I think, the whole picture is edited (colors of the leaves, trunk, etc... well, the font is obvious). But it's still beautiful, right ;)

And this is the stamp. I really do not know what this features... seems like a reception center? 

Kinda cool and unique.

This year, I got two pieces of mail for my birthday. The first one was a very sweet envelope sent by Ana from Portugal. Sorry, but I don't have that much pictures... but she sent a very nice mail art envelope (with a personalized stamp) - stamps, cute band aids, teabags.

Then the next one is from HGG (?) I'm not sure, but nmugirl sent this birthday card, together with confetti, a Happy Birthday sticker, and a couple of bookmarks.

On the inside of the card, it says

North American Wildlife

#11783 Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus). The bald eagle is a striking raptor whose appearance is quite unmistakable. It is one of the largest birds in North America. It's distinct white head and tail are its trademark. It evokes strong feelings of patriotic pride as the national symbol of the United States. It was chosen as the official emblem of the United States in 1782.

I got this postcard from a direct swap (Beverly).

"Back in 1812, a large earthquake hit the northwest corner forming a large lake called Reelfoot Lake. It is the largest lake in Tennessee and is the home to many species of birds including the National Bird of the United States, the bald eagle.

According from her story, she and her husband are in Uganda for a year to work with a school for teacher professional development. They also have a Canadian charity that does projects that focus on education, sustainability and empowerment.

This is a postage paid postcard sent by corinnacr. She has hosted "superman lottery" in the forum, and I was one of the winners of the Superman Series postcards :) It's very cool!

I would like to feature this sometime when there will be another Superman movie :D

I just want to show to you guys, this very beautiful royalty stamp from Thailand. It was sent by my penpal.

 Sometime around October 22 or 23 (Tuesday/Wednesday), I also have received other mail.

There was a long chain card from kikawa (already passed to the next), a package of stroopwafels (not sure if the date was right), a periodical from Korea, and this postcard.

This cute bunny postcard was sent by tingtinga2002 from SB. Honestly, I remember that this used to be in my favorites wall. It's for the swap "AR - Postcard Swap #9".

And for the stamps, here you can see a Diving Beetle stamp on the left (I remember that we use to play beetles or salagubangs) and a Common Redbolt on the right (which for me is a dragonfly).

Singaporean stamps have this effect, that when the light hits the stamps, it kinda shines. It really makes me think of phosphorus. 

I also want to share to you my stroopwaffle experience, sent by a Dutch postcrosser. Hihih! Too bad, I already ate it, as I was veryyy famished that time, and I can't bear the acidity.

Good Morning Everyone!

Today, I am posting this maximum card that I received last Friday. For the month of October, I got my first piece of mail from a penpal from Netherlands. The day after, nmugirl, sent me a Birthday card! She was very sweet to remember my birthday last October 1st.
